Rachel Garahan is a creative director, artist, and innate nurturer. In all of her work, she is drawn to what she calls the “elemental connection”: the space where nature and the human spirit overlap. She is the founder of One Part Gypsy, a creative design and consulting agency,
and Call of California, a site dedicated to the allure of the west.
Children, nature, art, adventure. These have been the running currents throughout her life. An
entrepreneur from a young age, she created a resume through childcare and the arts before
leaving Vermont at 18 to explore the world for nearly two years on her own. In college she
studied geography, journalism and poetry. After 15 years of working with children, she
committed full-time to her creative pursuits in 2011.
With a strong root in the worlds of natural beauty and wellness, her work is known for being
clean, modern, and sophisticated. Clients include Yoga Journal and Dr. Andrew Weil, and her
lifestyle has attracted praise from the likes of Josie Maran and Tata Harper.
She is based out of Venice, California where she lives with her husband, son, and two pups. A Beauty Collected is her first book.
